EV Charger Hardware Matching Matrix

One of the most expensive logistics mistakes in electric vehicle retail is dispatching an incompatible charging unit to a customer's home. Manufacturers ship various charger types (including standard portable cables, residential wall boxes and high-capacity fast chargers) depending on vehicle battery specifications.

If a stockyard technician mistakenly packs a high-amperage charger for a vehicle trim that only accepts standard charging current, the home installation electrician cannot complete the setup. The dealership must fund a second service trip to retrieve and swap the hardware.

This workbook eliminates charger mix-ups using an integrated Hardware Matching Table. When an incoming vehicle is recorded, Excel requires an exact Charger Serial Number paired directly with the Chassis ID. Data validation dropdowns restrict charger selections strictly to models certified for that vehicle trim.

Automated Stock Aging & Holding Cost Analysis

Unsold vehicles parked in a dealership yard incur continuous holding costs, floor-plan financing interest, insurance charges and battery maintenance overhead. If an electric scooter sits unsold for over sixty days, accumulated interest cuts into dealership profitability.

To track vehicle aging, the system uses the official Excel DATEDIF function:

This calculation determines the exact age of every vehicle in days, updating automatically each morning without manual input.

Digital Quarantine Protocols for Transit Damage

Vehicles occasionally sustain minor scratches or electrical issues during transport carrier transit. If a damaged vehicle is assigned to a customer by mistake, delivery disputes and poor reviews follow.

This template includes a dedicated quarantine process. If receiving technicians notice body panel scratches or firmware errors during initial unloading, they select the status Quarantine. The workbook removes the scooter from the Available count immediately and routes the chassis details to a Damaged Inventory Report.

Chronological Waitlist Management (FIFO Engine)
